Hi everyone,
Back to the topic of Separation Anxiety in Dogs this week! I wanted to bark about Rescue Remedy again because I know it helps me feel calm and relaxed a lot! Not only for my dog separation anxiety but also when I go to the vet or have to do something that I’m going to be scared of!
Last month when I was still on a high dose of Prednisone for my Addison’s Disease I went to the vet and my owner could tell that I was freaking out! She told someone later that I was manic! I couldn’t control myself, I was whining and barking and jumping and couldn’t calm myself down. My owner thinks it was because of the high dose of Prednisone but I had to go back to the vet a couple days later for a follow-up appointment and this time she gave me Rescue Remedy before we drove there. Just a few drops on my gums but boy-o-boy did I feel better! I remained calm and relaxed and could politely ask for a treat when the girls at the desk came to pet me. I felt so much better!
So please remember to give your dogs Rescue Remedy when you leave them home alone. Put 6-8 drops on their gums or inside ear flaps at least 20-30 minutes before you leave the house to help them stay calm and avoid having dog separation anxiety.
You can get Rescue Remedy on Amazon.com by clicking here or pick it up at your local health food store.
