As a dog, I can’t talk to my owner and tell her that I am feeling uncomfortable. For some reason no matter how much I bark she just doesn’t get what I’m saying! Sheesh!! So I have to use my best doggie body language to show her that I’m feeling anxious inside or if I’m unsure of a situation. My owner found this great site that translates the signs that I give her that I am one anxious dog! Check it you can attempt to understand your canine compnion too!
Rescue Remedy Relieves My Stress
Woof!
I just wanted to let you know what my owners give me every time I feel a bit scared or nervous or to help me avoid separation anxiety when they go away. It’s this stuff called Rescue Remedy and even though it tastes yucky I come running when they take it out because I’s knows that it will make me feel better!
Check it out! It really helps my separation anxiety and makes me feel better when riding in the car, meeting new people or even going to the vet!
Aversive vs. Reward Based Training
Woof Woof!
Check out this great dog training blog post over on Science Dawg on scientific studies that support the use of reward based training! I much prefer rewards for good behavior instead of getting yanked around! Oh and reward based training is how my owners helped cure my separation anxiety!

A Little Anxious
Hello,
I’m Manchego the Anxious dog. I’m a little nervous about posting here since it is my first time but I want to take time to share my progress and tell other dogs (and their owners) what helps me feel better and build my self-confidence! My owners have helped me get over my separation anxiety but I still have a lot of other things that I feel anxious about. Luckily they are very smart and are helping me get over those fears too! Stay tuned for more tips that have helped me!
In the meantime check out the book that helped me: Curing Dog Separation Anxiety!
